According to wikipedia:
A content management system (CMS) is a system used to organize and facilitate collaborative creation of documents and other content. A CMS is frequently a web application used for managing websites and web content. We offer several Content Management Systems which we can install for you. These currently include:
- Drupal: A very popular, full bells and whistles content management system for running complex websites. Drupal is difficult to learn, but many civic society groups are using now using Drupal, so perhaps you might be able to find a local techie who could help your organization get started with Drupal.
- PmWiki: A very good wiki, useful for collaborative notes.
- Bamboo: A handy CMS written by riseup.net (and used to create all the riseup.net webpages). Currently, bamboo only handles static pages (ie it doesn't have forums, blogs, calendars, etc).
- AMP: a CMS designed specifically for activists by our friends at radicaldesigns.org. (not currently working).
- WordPress: A popular and powerful CMS for creating blogs.
